Side Hung Window

Side Hung Window

In a side-hung window, the opening ‘sash’ is fixed with  friction hinges to the top and bottom of the frame  as is required. Besides, they can be hung to open outwards or inwards. Just like in Top-hung windows, the stainless steel friction-stays make it possible to open the windows at any angle.

Side-hung windows were the traditional style when timber and steel were the more common materials in making up windows. While they allow more ventilation, they take up more space, whether projecting outwards or inwards.

In general, the Side-Hung windows have the same advantages as the Top-Hung aluminium windows.
